2007 Daniele Ricci Timorasso DOC "Terre del
Timorasso"
100% Timorasso, 14.2% alcohol
Aging 12 months in stainless steel on
the lees
Timorasso, the varietal, is rare and
planted on very few hectares of land.
It comes from the hills of Tortonesi
near Alessandria in Piemonte.
It is an ancient and indigenous
varietal to the area.
It is difficult to grow and rather
temperamental.
This is a wine of crazy concentration
and huge complexity. What seems like barrel aging is actually the
characteristics of the grape, and extended lees aging in stainless steel. The
fruits are ripe, with an almost tropical component, but with an amazing
structure and finish that just does not finish.
About 400 cases produced.
Recommended pairings: Fish antipasti,
risotto, and white meat.
2004 Le Presi Brunello di Montalcino DOCG
100% Sangiovese
This is masculine, authoritative wine

These wines from Le Presi are made in
a rigorously traditional style.

reveal some wilder elements that are best tamed with a few hours of aeration.
Rich and velvety, but backed with gripping
tannins, reminding of its life in the field.

garnet reflections, the Rosso di Montalcino creates a finely intense nose with
fragrant aromas of small fresh fruits.
On the palate it is delicately dry

This is delicious wine from Mocali
especially for the money.
Eric Asimov the wine critic for the
New York Times said, “This is the best
value Rosso di Montalcino in the country.”

structured and superbly soft, it offers a harmonious balance of sensations and
fruity finish.
Fiori Rosè goes very well with cold
cuts, non-stuffed pasta and roasted white meats.
NV IL Colle Prosecco Brut DOC
100% Glera (Prosecco)
Made from grapes of the Conegliano
hills, this excellent Prosecco offers a straw-yellow color with a tantalizing perlage,

perfect aperitif but also pairs excellently with food.

2010 Fattoria Anselmi Pinot Grigio del Friuli
"Zellina"

The color is from straw to copper
yellow, fruity when young, becoming more intense, characteristic with age. Velvety,
dry and soft, well balanced.
Excellent as an aperitif; the ideal
accompaniment to a meal with fish hors d`oeuvres, and rice or pasta dishes with
fish or shellfish. Perfect with white meat boiled or grilled fish and white soufflés.
2010 Produttori di Codroipo Pinot Grigio "Manin"
100% Pinot Grigio
The Manin Pinot Grigio comes from the
most northeastern reach of Italy in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
The wine comes from well-maintained
vineyards that have surprisingly low yields for the area, as Codroipo`s main
goal is pristine quality throughout their estate.
The Manin is lovely, a crisp white
wine full of bright citrus and orchard fruits, with a clean and fresh finish.
This well-balanced wine pairs beautifully
aside a range of seafood and pasta dishes.
2010 Podere Casale "Casalegrande" Gutturnio
60% Barbera 40% Bonarda
It`s a very dark wine, blackish-purple
at the center, clear garnet at the edge.
It offers appetizing warm aromas
redolent of cherry flavor enveloped by soft tannins and finishes with a tart,
lemon-squirt acidity.
A wine that, like many of its Italian
brethren’s is made to go with food.
Its vibrant flavors will also neatly
complement that quintessential dish from Emilia-Romagna, tagliatelle with
Bolognese sauce.
Gutturnio from the Latin word
"Gutturnium"(traditional Roman imbibing cup).
2008 Luigi Giusti Lacrima di Morro d`Alba
100% Lacrima
Lacrima di Morro d`Alba was a wine
near extinction when the DOC was created in 1985.
This was the saving grace that
resurrected the wine and encouraged producers to continue working with the
grape.
Most recently, with the new concepts
of viticulture that are being embraced in Italy, such as high vineyard density
and low yield per vine.
Lacrima, as well as several other
grapes formerly regarded as "secondary”, are beginning to make some very
exciting wines.
The Giusti wines are made in rich and
concentrated style yet very performed and soft. They are an excellent wine for
braised meat dishes, especially traditional Italian ragù sauces.
2008 Italo Pietrantonj Montepulciano d`Abruzzo DOC
The 'Black Label'
Montepulciano d`Abruzzo is a wine
made in the traditional style, an image of the old family winery.
Pietrantonj is the oldest winemaker
in the Abruzzi region at more than 200 years old.
This is a lovely wine full of dried
floral and fruit notes complemented by soft leather and earthy aromas.
Aged in large oak vats for 8 months,
it offers sweet spice flavors of vanilla, anise and dried tobacco in the mouth
with a hint of chocolate on the finish.
This Montepulciano is full flavored
and rich without being too heavy in body.
It is a great accompaniment to all
sorts of game, as well as pasta dishes with hearty sauce.
2009 St`Andrea Oppidum (Moscato di
Terracina dry)
From the region of Lazio; I
discovered this winery a few years ago thanks to my friend James at JK Imports.
I really love both this wine the
Moscato and the:
2005 St`Andrea Circeo Rosso Sogno DOC
The first is of strong straw-yellow
color with soft golden reflections, the scent, which is really intense and
typical of this vineyard. Complex, tropical fruits, withered rose and apricot
are here!
The wine is rich and full with a
considerably long after-taste, which ends with typical features of bitter almonds.
Its intense and fine perfume make
this wine suitable for fried hors-d`oeuvre or elaborate fish-based dishes.
Excellent as an aperitif.
2005 St`Andrea Circeo Rosso
A blend of 85% Merlot and 15%
Cesanese.
This wine is sublime in my judgment.
Ruby red in color intense and almost
impenetrable, elegant, it merges mature pulp fruit, wood fruit, marasca.
The light spicy notes amalgamate with
remarks of tobacco and sweet vanilla.
Dry with a great structure, full, harmonic,
and soft tannic, which is very persistent.
Ideal with meat-based dishes, roasts,
barbecued and grilled meat, but also hunted game, aged cheese.
2010 Marco Carpineti Capolemole
Bianco "Cori Bianco DOC"
60% Malvasia 30% Bellone 10%
Trebbiano
The Capolemole takes its name from
the locality where the vineyard resides.
This wine has 70% of its juice aged
in stainless steel, as the remaining 30% sees four months in large oak barrels.
A medium to dark golden color that
opens with a complex nose mixing some vegetal notes with nectar sweetness, a hint
of banana, and vanilla that follows through on the palate.
2007 Cefalicchio Rosso Canosa DOC
100% organic grapes 65% Nero di Troia
35% Morellone
Rather then describe this wine I will
like you to go to their website and visit the region of my birthplace.
Azienda Agricola Pasquale Petrera
