Next weekend Vinitaly the largest wine show in the world will begin in Verona, Italy. I found a few articles very interesting from their website, which discuss the growing presence of organic and biodynamic wine in the industry, as well as growing exports of Italian wine all over the world. I am particularly pleased that we finally have a focus on organic and biodynamic wine because such wine is generally driven by small producers. Organic and biodynamic wine in my judgement will be a large segment in future years of the industry. Regarding the growing sales of Italian wine I find it encouraging but personally think the merit is also in the popularity of Italian cuisine.
